New Feature: Add to Favorite

September 29th, 2009

We have tried to ease the tracking of Food Items and Activities a bit further…

What is Add to Favorite?

We have implemented a new “Add to Favorite” feature where you can add any already tracked/planned items to your favorite items’ list.

How do I add items to My Favorite?

Just click on the “More” link in front of any tracked/planned items and click on “Add to Favorite“.

How do I track items from My Favorite?

You can track items by selecting them from your favorites list rather than typing them each time. On the track page, click on “Add from Favorites” to track an item from your favorites list.

How do I remove items from My Favorite?

Just click on the “star” before an item in the Favorite List and it would be removed from your Favorites List.

You can add both Food Items and other Activities to your Favorites. We hope this would ease out your tracking.

New Feature: Know more about Food Items and Activities

May 22nd, 2009

A lot of our users have given us the feedback that they want to see more details about the Food Items than just the calories. So we went ahead and added individual pages for every food item and activity.

Now to know more about any food item, when you look up for the item in our Nutritional Value search, you can click the names on the food items or activity to know more details about that item.

On the Food Item / Activity Details page you can find out

  • the details of other nutrients in the food item
  • how to burn equivalent amount of calories (if it is a food item description page)
  • the calories that you burn during an activity is equivalent to eating what amount of a few food items (if it is a activity description page)
  • related articles
  • related health tips
  • related food items or activities

We hope these description pages help you know more about your favorite food items and activities.

Time Zone, Preferences and a lot of new Food Items

April 3rd, 2009

Few of our users from US wrote to us, complaining that we do not have US Food Items on LifeMojo. We interacted with a couple of them and we got to know that although there are a lot of websites which allow them to track their daily food intake and activities, they love the simplicity of LifeMojo and would love to track their lifestyle here. :)

We recently added a lot of food items (close to 8000) on LifeMojo and soon realized the simplicity of auto complete while tracking food items was getting lost. This was because of the wide variety of food items available in US. So we added Food Preferences. Since majority of our users till now are Indians, we have kept the default Food Preference as Indian.

Similar to the food items, our users wanted to specify the default units that they enter their weight, running distance, measured height etc. in. So we added the preferences for them as well. The default preferences are set aptly for an Indian users, but you can always change the preferences by either going to “Profile & Settings” -> or by clicking on the links just below your profile completeness progress bar on myMojo.

You can also specify your Food Preferences while doing a calories search on GTalk or GMail chat. The food preferences on GTalk are by default set to Indian, you can change it by sending international as a chat message or switch back to indian by sending indian as a chat message.

We added Time Zone preferences along with these preferences as well, which was kind of long due form our side.
